Cricket bat warranty

Urumi Athletics cricket bats carry a 6-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the original date of purchase.

Cricket bats are made from English or Kashmir willow and will naturally show signs of wear through use. Proper preparation, protection, maintenance and storage are important to the life of the bat.

Covered

Subject to inspection, the warranty covers:

• Handle breakage under normal use
• Splice failure or separation
• Shoulder splitting not caused by direct impact
• Major horizontal blade splitting resulting from a manufacturing defect

Not covered

• General wear and tear
• Surface cracking, dents or cosmetic damage
• Edge, toe, shoulder or face damage caused by impact
• Damage resulting from mistimed shots
• Insufficient knocking-in or preparation
• Face, edge or surface damage where a protective scuff sheet was not fitted
• Improper maintenance, oiling or storage
• Moisture or environmental damage
• Use with damaged, poor-quality or unsuitable balls
• Bowling machine damage
• Misuse or accidental damage
• Continued use after damage has developed
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications

Original Urumi Athletics stickers must remain fitted to the bat. Removal or replacement of the original stickers without prior authorization from Urumi Athletics may void the warranty.

Claims

Warranty claims require proof of purchase, clear photographs and detailed information about the damage and how it occurred.

Urumi Athletics may require the bat to be returned for inspection. Claims are assessed individually based on the nature and cause of the damage.

Where appropriate, the bat may be repaired before replacement or store credit is considered. If repair is not appropriate, Urumi Athletics may provide a replacement or store credit.

Replacement products remain covered for the balance of the original warranty period.

All shipping, packaging and associated costs relating to warranty claims are the customer’s responsibility.

Soft goods & equipment warranty

Urumi Athletics soft goods and equipment carry a 3-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the original date of purchase.

The warranty covers manufacturing faults affecting the normal function of the product, including defective stitching, seams or construction.

The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, abrasion, cosmetic or impact damage, misuse, improper care or deterioration through regular use.

Warranty claims require proof of purchase, clear photographs and detailed information about the issue. Products may be required to be returned for inspection.

Approved claims may be repaired, replaced or issued store credit following assessment by Urumi Athletics.
